The play Rez Sisters begins in the late summer of 1986. It is mid-morning of a late August day in Wasaychigan Hill Indian Reserve. The scene begins with Pelajia Patchnose taking on a mans jobs and nailing shingles on the roof. She is dressed in overalls and a baseball cap. Pelajia, her sister Philomena and half-sister Annie Cook rave about the biggest bingo game in Toronto on the roof.

2. What is the intrusion?
When the women are notified the Bingo game is taking place because the play is entirely about the work put into getting there and the riveting events that take place in the bingo game.

3. What is the unique factor?
This is the day the women decide to take a trip to Toronto to partake in the Biggest Bingo Game Ever.

4. What is the dramatic question that should be answered by the end of the play?
Will the sisters make it to the Bingo game?
Will they win the money at the Bingo game?
Will they get the money needed to travel to the Bingo game?
Will the women ever obtain or become what they desire?

One exposition is when Zhaboonigan informs the audience and Nanobush that she was raped with a screwdriver.
Another exposition is the description of their surroundings and the introduction of each character.

The most theatrical moment is when the women set up their booths to make money for the trip. It is fast paced, action filled and stressful. There are multiple actions taking place which seem overwhelming until it finally abruptly stops.

The chief characters really want to go to Toronto in order to win money from a huge Bingo lottery. The women face transportation issues like a flat tire, money issues, and issues between each other create obstacles along the way.

Nanobush- spirit connects certain characters to spiritual surroundings
Store Fight- express tension and built up emotions between each sister

10. Briefly define the family relationships that are examined in the play.
All women are connected because they are family. Each has their own way of living and create different goals for themselves in the future. Their differing personalities create unpopular opinions that create difficulty and stress between each other on the trip. However, their unity to work for something they all desire shows their determination and independence. Although each woman has a family of their own, they do not play a significant role. These women are the foundation of their families.
